We really thought we had seen the end of it.

We have been busy this weekend and we were not expecting snow! We really thought we had seen the end of it but it seems it is back with vengeance!  We got caught in the snow and luckily we didn’t have to travel far yesterday it was a birthday celebration for a lovely lady just a small gathering but still important and as usual we pulled out all the stops. Hog roast   were catering for four hundred at the weekend for an annual cricket club general meeting this is the first time we have been asked to do the catering and we are hoping that is won’t be the last! It is considered an honour in our community to be asked and we were so proud! Hog roast hire   are out to impress the members of the cricket club and we are sure we will with the array of food we are going to cook. The pig naturally will be the centrepiece and to be honest we could not imagine an event without him he really gets everyone chatting and is the entertainment of any party! To accompany the pork Hog roast    are making apple sauce, crackling and jacket potatoes with more than ten choices of filling so we are sure to please everyone’s pallet! We are also making wraps using freshly made tortilla and we are cooking chickens slicing up the meat and mixing it with fabulous sauces these are a great new addition we have added onto the menu and are proving so popular with our customers and since they have been added to the menu we are getting asked for them at each event! We are also cooking some lamb and slicing up the lamb and adding our unique mint sauce and new potatoes and we don’t stop there we are making a selection of salads with delicious dressings. Hog roast hire hope that the cricket club will be a regular event and this will be a most welcome addition to our portfolio business is really booming at the moment and hog roasting is proven to be popular yet again and we are not surprised!

We are extremely proud and we pulled out all the stops at Hog roast hire  and will be remembered fondly in years to come. We were catering for the Boys Brigade Annual event where boys from all over the country gather and special awards are handed out to mark outstanding achievements we were really honoured to be asked to cater and boy did we cook some food! Hog roast   cooked burgers and sausages and we popped them into our beautiful freshly baked buns, lashings of tomatoe sauce and mustard accompanied the sandwiches we also made baked potatoes served with tuna filling, baked bean filling and cheese and onion filling these were gone in literally minutes! Hog roast hire   made a lovely hot tomatoe soup too and the boys loved this too we had a fantastic time and we really excelled we had never catered for that many before and were used to being busy and catering for a few hundred but a thousand was a first for us and it has made us want more big orders! Next week we are off south for a birthday celebration and this customer is becoming a regular as we have now catered for the past five years for this ladies birthday that is when we know we are doing a good job when customers come back to us time and time again, we are more like friends and the guests are always the same we really look forward to her birthday now and are now starting to presume it will be forever we hope! We have now started to make the lady a cake free of charge of course, for being so loyal and we can guarantee we will come back with other orders as we normally do word of mouth and recommendations works wonders for people like us and we are eternally grateful to our loyal customers/friends…

Winter BBQ

Good morning and welcome to the latest daily blog from the Hog Roast Caterer team.  Its Thursday the 25th of November 2011 and its a very cold morning in the HC office.  We have the heating on full blast and lots of hot drinks to keep us nice and warm as we begin another day of dealing with catering enquiries.

While our famous hog roast menu is our most popular and most frequently requested it is not the only thing that we have to offer. We offer a wide range of meats plus some amazing BBQ packages.  Speaking of BBQ catering that is exactly what two of our chefs are doing this afternoon.  They are catering at business event at a city venue and cooking up BBQ catering for the hungry workers to enjoy for their lunchtime treat.  They will be cooking and serving one hundred per cent beef burgers and premium pork and apple sausages plus marinated chicken wings.  To accompany these bb catering treats they have fresh bread rolls and a wide ranges of sauces, everything from good old tomatoes ketchup to home made spicy fruit chutney.  So whatever today’s customers fancy adding to their burgers and hot dogs we have it covered.  They will be feeding over two hundred workers today so they have stocked up and are taken plenty of fresh sausages and burgers to barbecue on site.  I’m sure it will be yet another successful event for the hog roast caterer team.

Join us tomorrow for the Friday hog blog and find out what

Mid Week BBQ in September

Good afternoon and hello from everybody here in the Hog Roast Caterer office hope you are all well and ready for another hog blog!

Well one of our catering teams are cooking up some bbq catering at a sporting event this afternoon.  A local football team organised a mini tournament for charity and the teams are playing and competing against each other this afternoon.  We will be doing our bit for the event and for the cause by cooking up our famous bb catering and serving at half time and at the final whistle of all games.  So both the players and spectators can enjoy a tasty bbq snack.

We are keeping things nice and simple and sticking to the good old bbq classics; burgers and sausages!  Not just any old burgers and sausages though!  On the Hog Roast Caterer bbq plates you will find only quality locally sourced meat  sizzling away. one hundred per cent prime British beef along side our famous pork and apple sausages.  These will be served along side fresh bread rolls and a selection of home made sauces and relishes.  I’m sure both players and the supporters will enjoy our bbq catering this afternoon and we will enjoy watching the great game and cheering everybody on.

Childrens Party BBQ

Hello and good afternoon to all of our hog blog readers.  Hope you are all well today and ready for the first Hog Roast Caterer blog of a new week.  Its Monday 22nd of August 2011 and we back in the office today after a busy weekend of being out and about on various catering jobs.

One of the jobs I did this weekend was a children’s birthday party yesterday afternoon.  It was a garden party and all the children came in fancy dress as their favourite Disney characters.  They played games and were treated to not one but two live acts as both a clown and a magician performed for them much to their delight.  After the entertainment was over we served up a special bb menu designed specifically for the little ones.  The enjoyed mini burgers and hog dogs as well as chicken drumsticks and chips.  Then our serving staff served up birthday cake along with jelly and ice cream.  We also had a some joints cooking away so the mums and dads got to enjoy a mini hog roast too.  The food was a big hit with both the grown up and the kids and we had great fun catering for everybody.

We have not done too many childrens parties in the past but its something we would be more than happy to do more of so watch this space for some kiddies hog roast and bbq menus!  I think we will get working on that as our next project.

Neighbour Hood BBQ

Hello there to all of our loyal hog blog readers!  Hope you are all having a great Thursday and looking forward to another weekend!  I am writing this blog to you as I am on way to this evenings event.

My catering assistant is driving myself and her to a local village hall where we are doing a bbq menu for a neighbourhood watch meeting.  It’s a special meeting tonight as the neighbour hood watch team are celebrating their 5th anniversary of working together as a community and also celebrating the first crime free year in their village.  So the thirty member have a requested that we do a bbq menu for this special occasion.

I love bbq catering especially on warm Summer evenings like this one so I’m sure we will really enjoy catering tonight.  We have catered various events at this particular village hall so it will be great to return and see some familiar faces.  So what is on offer for the crime fighting villagers on this fine evening?  Well we are offering the traditional bbq favourites and serving 100% Aberdeen Angus beef burgers along with premium pork and apple sausages.  Then some more luxury bbq treats will be presented as we cook up fillet steaks and chicken kebabs.  The vegetarians won’t miss out either as we are doing Mediterranean veggie skewers as well as stuffed peppers.  To compliment these meaty and meat free treats we have a wide range of salads and well as potato skins filled with melted cheese and tasty bacon.  Hmmmmmm its making my mouth water just thinking of it.

School BBQ and Hog Roast On The Beach

Good Afternoon everybody I hope you are all sitting comfortably and ready for another exciting hog blog!

As I type this blog for you I am actually at a beach location on the South Coast tapping away on my laptop whilst my catering team are preparing today’s hog roast.  Yes that’s right today I am lucky enough to be catering on the beach and luckily the weather has stayed nice for us 🙂

This is part of a primary school trip.  As its the last day of term today the year 6 class have been taken to the beach for a day of activities before being treated to a tasty hog roast and BBQ in the sun.  What a perfect way to kick start the long Summer holidays!  The 100 pupils plus their teachers will be feasting  a hog roast plus burgers, sausages and other BBQ treats.

My team having being cooking the hog slowly for hours making sure its cooked to perfection and are about to add the burgers and sausages.  I had better get going so I can get stuck in and help with the preparation of our home made sauces and side orders and start serving the hungry children.
