Hog Roast Music Event

Hello and welcome to another Hog Roast Caterer Blog.

Its Tuesday the 13th of September  and we hope you are all much better than the weather from here in the Hog Roast office.

Yesterday the hog roast catering team catered at a outdoor music event not too far from us in fact, we has lots of wind and a few showers of rain but our clients were more than pleased with the tasty hog roast menu that was chosen and the weather did not seem to affect the atmosphere at the music event.

We did a simple hog roast menu a melt in the mouth, cooked to perfection pork we treated the 500 people that turned up to freshly baked bread rolls, home made savoury stuffing, sweet secret recipe apple sauce and crunchy crackling.

This allows our customers to get the best experience from the hog roast and makes the ultimate pork sandwich for them to eat and enjoy.

It certainly went down a treat as people at the event queued up for seconds and even thirds it wasn’t long before everybody had eaten the delicious meal and there wasn’t a scrap of meat left for us!

So obviously it was appreciated and enjoyed by all.

We were told that they would be definitely booking again next year as the service was excellent and everyone seemed happy which of course is what we like to hear.

Happy Birthday Hog Roast Caterer Team

Hello and welcome to Wednesday’s hog blog.  Its Wednesday the 31st of August 2011 and its not only the last day of August (and also the last day of Summer officially) but its also the birthday of not one but two of our hard working office staff.  And not just any old birthdays as they are both celebrating mile stones today as Collette our office assistant turns twenty one today, whilst Ben our hog roast machine sales men is celebrating the big three zero today as he leaves his twenties behind and turns thirty.

Both will be out celebrating this weekend but until then we are throwing them a special birthday lunch time treat.  As a hog roast caterer I can’t think of anything better than a hog roast party menu for the lucky birthday boy and birthday girl.    One of our hog roast chefs is currently secretly cooking up a hog roast as we speak and at one o’clock it shall be wheeled in and served to the birthday boy and girl as well as the rest of the hard working office staff.  We have also got them both a birthday card each and a large chocolate cake to share.  So its a hog roast party in the hog roast caterer office this afternoon!  But only during lunch time then it will be back to work and doing what we do best.  Planning hog roast catering for our loyal customers.

Busy Day and Night For Hog Roast Caterer

Good afternoon and welcome to Thursdays hog blog!  Its been a very busy day for us so far as we have had many enquiries pouring into the office asking for our availability and prices for all kinds of events.  Some in the next few weeks and some as far away as 2014, so these customer enquiries have kept us very busy all day and the evening looks set to be just as hectic as I have one catering job to do, three machine hires to deliver and on the way to all these jobs I am meeting up with a possible future customer to discuss the final menu and hopefully place a booking.  Its certainly non stop at the moment for this hog roast caterer but I wouldn’t have it any other way 🙂

Join me tomorrow for another hog blog

A Busy Weekend For The Hog Roaster

Hello to all the hog blog readers, another week has begun and it seems everybody has got those old Monday morning blues.  But don’t worry because the hog roast caterer team is here with another hog blog to cheer you up.  So sit back and relax, take a five minute break out of your busy day and find out what the hog roast caterer team has been up to over yet another busy weekend………………….

This weekend we have catered two weddings, one naming ceremony, a 21st birthday, an engagement party and a golden wedding anniversary.  That little lot was done by me and my catering team and the other catering teams were also kept very busy with lots of their own events.

This weekend my team has cooked, prepared and served up; six pigs, two lambs, ten turkeys, fifty burgers, one hundred sausages, almost one thousand bread rolls and endless supplies of salads and potatoes.

The best part of the weekend was knowing that every customer we catered and all their guests were more than happy with the party that we provided 🙂 Its been another successful weekend of events and I’m already looking forward to the next.

Charity Hog Roast

Good Morning hope you are all sitting comfortably because it time for another hog blog from the hog roast caterers.  Its Wednesday the 3rd of August 2011 and I am getting particularly excited for an event I have booked in this evening.  This event is a large scale public event with over three thousand people attending!  Needless to say that is a lot of pigs I shall be roasting this evening.  Due to the scale of the event I am taking a large team of hog roast caterers, catering assistants and serving staff with me.  Together I’m sure we will create a great catering service that everybody will enjoy.

The event is being held to raise money for a local hospice and also in memory of many who spent their final days there.  Its a big honour to be asked to do this and its a cause that’s close to hearts of many of the team so we are proud to be taking part and doing our bit for the charity.

There will be lots and lots of activates at the event but the main focus will be on the sports tournament that is taking place.  Good luck to all those competing and whether you come first, second or even last don’t forget to come and see me or one of the other hog roast caterers after so you can enjoy a tasty hog roast sandwich whilst you celebrate / commiserate.  We have enough hogs, apple sauce, stuffing and rolls to make thousands and thousands of tasty pork sandwiches so come and get yours!

The art of hog roasting

It’s that time of day again for another exciting hog blog! Today I’m in the office doing all the usual tasks before setting off with the catering team to a local art gallery where artists have put together an exhibition with tonight being the opening night! This event is invite only as it opens properly to the public tomorrow and local business people and people from local art galleries have been invited for a sneak preview at the work. I’ve seen some photos of the exhibition already and I must say that it’s impressive! The organisers haven’t opted for a hog roast this time, instead they’ve gone for lamb which in my opinion almost rivals the hog roast as it does taste incredible once its been cooked and then teamed with mint and rosemary. Don’t forget that we don’t just do hog roasts even though we are Hog Roast Caterer, we can also cook, chicken, beef, turkey and lamb so if you don’t want a hog roast we can accommodate for that!

Anyway, it’s a great venue and to be amongst so many different types of art work is a pleasure, now it’s turn for us to do our art which is of course catering for your event providing excellent food for you and al your guests!

Busy Thursday For The Hog Roast Caterers

Another day in the Hog Roast Caterer office, and once again its been a very busy one so far.  The phone has been ringing of the hook with last minute enquiries and bookings for this weekend.  I think all of our customers have heard about the heat wave which we may getting over the weekend and have decided to make the most of it by gathering with friends and family outdoors and tucking into one of our fantastic meat roasts or BBQs.  If you haven’t already enquired yourself then I suggest you do pretty fast as all the hog roast catering teams are almost fully booked for Saturday and Sunday!!

In between sorting out these bookings for our clients I have also been out delivering hog roast machines to our machine hire customers and visited our local farmers market to stock up on some fresh fruit ands veggies which will be used in our home made sauces and to create our tasty salads.  Its been a hectic day and once the office shuts a five I am looking forward to having a long rest and early night before the busy weekend begins.  With all these last minute catering jobs booked on I think this weekend could be the busiest of 2011 so far!!!

Catch up with your favorite hog roast caterer…….

Good morning everybody.  Its your favorite Hog Roast caterer with a brand new blog.    Its Monday the 4th of July 2011 and once again we are back in the office after a busy weekend of cooking up hog roast feasts all over the UK!  Before we tell you about our catering adventures from the weekend I first of all must apologize for the delay since my last bog.  As you know us hog roast caterers are always busy but these last two weeks have been extra chaotic!  So with all the different events I have had to cater for I have had very little time to update our daily blogs.  But fear not hog blog readers as we have recently recruited new members to join the hog roast caterer team and so that will help me share out my work load and once again  I will have the time to bring you a new and exciting blog each day 🙂

We are really in the height of our busiest season at the moment as Summer is now in full swing.  The sun is shinning and evenings stay lighter for longer…….Perfect weather for a hog roast!  Over the last few week I have been lucky enough to cater a wide variety of events including; birthday parties, summer barbecues, weddings, music festivals, Summer balls, end of term parties, charity events and many more.  My catering diary is also packed full of more exciting events for the next couple of months so I shall be bringing you more hog roasting stories everyday 🙂

I wish this weather would make up its mind!!!

In the office today we have been busy answering your calls and Emails. I t has been, and is still very humid and we are all hot hot hot!! Outside it looks like it’s going to rain, probably will once I have finished in the office and my work is done for another day ha ha.

What have we got in store this week for all of the caterers, well here in the office we amend the Menu’s to suit your personal preferences and then forward your details to the caterers, as these are the ones that would be attending your event. Once you are happy with the prices quoted and Bespoke Menu our catering teams will chat more in depth with you and answer any other worries or queries you may have. They can also help you find a Venue that they may have catered at previously. We welcome any of your own ideas as we want your event to be as personal to you as it can be. Our Hog roasts are becoming more and more popular and even the hiring of the machines are becoming more widely sought upon. Whatever your occasion we are always ready to help. Give Hog Roast Caterer a call today or drop us an Email- what have you got to lose??

Weekend Party planning

Well Thursday is finally here and that means we are one step closer to the weekend, and one step closer to the huge event we are catering for on Sunday. I know another team member is busy with Weddings all weekend-whereas I am catering more of the Party Menu’s. Saturday is a house party for a engagement which I will be looking after around 40 guests. They are going to divulging in my Spit Roasted lamb which is firm favourite of mine when it comes to the choices in the meats. Mouth watering stuff!! They are adding their own salads and extras to keep their costs down, so we are simply serving the lamb with Mint sauce in bread rolls.

Sunday is a much bigger event to be catering for, the customer has just been reunited with a long lost sister from Australia and she is flying in so they have decided to hold a big party. Love these kind of stories!! All the family members will be getting to know each other and meeting long lost siblings or meeting children for the first time.

They have asked us to cater for 200 people so I guess they have a big Garden ha ha. If not it will be a tight squeeze. I am sure most people will mingle inside though, if not all , if it starts raining. It is going to be a busy couple of days and lots of preparing to be done- so on that note, enjoy the rest of your day.
