Weekend Party planning

Well Thursday is finally here and that means we are one step closer to the weekend, and one step closer to the huge event we are catering for on Sunday. I know another team member is busy with Weddings all weekend-whereas I am catering more of the Party Menu’s. Saturday is a house party for a engagement which I will be looking after around 40 guests. They are going to divulging in my Spit Roasted lamb which is firm favourite of mine when it comes to the choices in the meats. Mouth watering stuff!! They are adding their own salads and extras to keep their costs down, so we are simply serving the lamb with Mint sauce in bread rolls.

Sunday is a much bigger event to be catering for, the customer has just been reunited with a long lost sister from Australia and she is flying in so they have decided to hold a big party. Love these kind of stories!! All the family members will be getting to know each other and meeting long lost siblings or meeting children for the first time.

They have asked us to cater for 200 people so I guess they have a big Garden ha ha. If not it will be a tight squeeze. I am sure most people will mingle inside though, if not all , if it starts raining. It is going to be a busy couple of days and lots of preparing to be done- so on that note, enjoy the rest of your day.

Weekend Of Weddings

Good morning hog blog followers.  We are half way through the working week already! Not long now until another weekend and it is most definitely going t be an extremely busy one.  Every single of the hog roast teams have lots of events booked in this weekend.

So what does the weekend have in store for myself?  Weddings, lots of weddings!  That’s right over the course of Friday, Saturday and Sunday me and my team will be providing wedding catering for not one, not two, not three, not even four but FIVE happy couples.  It most be a popular weekend to tie the knot!  I am not complaining though as I love doing wedding catering.  Myself and the team are fully prepared and looking forward to the “weekend of Weddings”

It all starts on Friday evening as we are providing a simple BBQ menu at an evening wedding reception in a local function hall.  Then on Saturday its a very early start as we are cooking up a three course wedding breakfast and its a lunchtime serve.  Saturday evening brings us another evening reception to cater for this time the couple have chosen our famous hog roast in a bun menu.  Sunday see us serving canapés and a lamb roast for 40 wedding guests at a relaxed informal wedding breakfast and then we are travelling a little further in the evening to provide another hog roast at another evening do.  After this it will be home to catch up on some sleep before another busy working week begins.

Hog Roast For Local Entrepreneurs

Hello Hog blog readers, hope you are all well and having a great week so far.  Us hog roast caterers are always very busy but the last week has been particularly hectic, most definitely the busiest we have ever been both in the office and out on location catering many events.

The way the enquiries are continuing to pour into the office it looks like the Summer months are going to continue in this way with almost every weekend and even some week days already fully booked.

Today is no exception as we are busy once again.  Even though its only a Tuesday afternoon we are getting ready to go and catering at a business networking event this evening.  The event is at a posh city centre hotel about half an hours drive from us and we will be serving up one of our famous hog roasts to the hungry business people.  The event is being held for local businesses owners who have recently set up on their own.  It is a chance for them to meet and network with other local business owners as well as listening t some experts speakers give their advice and tips on how to make your business a success.

We while be providing a yummy hog roast feat for them all.  Along with our tasty famous hog roast we will be serving bread rolls, apple sauce, stuffing, crackling and a selection of salads.  The hog roast caterer staff will also be serving complimentary drinks to wash down the hog roast feast.

I feel sorry for our caterers in this weather!!!

Morning once again from our headquarters. As all our readers are probably aware that our caterers cater many events come rain or shine. Today is one of the wet and wild days and I am nice and warm indoors unlike our caterers that are busy attending all your events.

We have a number of Menu’s on offer;

1: Party Menu 1

This includes a Chef, Machine, pig which is cooked on site. All the rolls and Apple sauce and crispy crackling.

2: Party Menu 2

This option gives you the choice of Meats- we understand that not everyone likes Pig!! Within this Menu you can choose one of either Pig, Lamb, Turkey, Beef, Chicken, sausages, Kebabs. Again they all come with their own sauces to accompany the tastes and rolls.

3: Party Menu 3

This is a Pig with added extras like crisp salads or vegetables and warm new potatoes.

4: Party Menu 4

This Menu includes real crockery, serving tables and napkins. You can choose from one of the meats, three salads or vegetables, then one potatoe option. With all the rolls and sauces.

5: Party Menu 5

This starts with a choice of Canapés, then choose two meats and again the sauces and rolls and salads and Potatoes. With this Menu you also have Desserts to choose from.

6: Party Menu 6

This is the same as Menu 5 but with a Starter option also.

Do not forget that you can chop and changed our Menu to suit yourself. Menu 2-6 has a Vegetarian Alternative too!!

Great day for a Hog Roast

Welcome once again to all of our followers:

Well its Wednesday and we are half way through the week, with a few staff on their holidays the office is a little bit more under pressure to get all of our customer’s  quotes out and answer the phone without delays.

Some dates are becoming booked up which is a good sign for the caterers but not so good for customers that are unable to book on those certain days- wherever possible though, we always try to squeeze you in or refer you to someone else that is not so busy on those days. Remember just because our qualified chef’s are busy does not mean that you can’t hire the machines and do the Hog Roast yourself!!

This weekend is a busy one with it being Bank Holiday Monday and a local school is holding an events day(well its all weekend). The school is funded by a church so they are putting on a fair for all the children that attend and also the people that attend the church. This is where they have asked us to cook on site for them but are doing more off a BBQ as the kiddies tend to like the burgers and sausages and hot dogs with plenty of ketchup. They are going to have people in stocks to help raise money for the church and school, bouncy castle , cake stalls and I am sure plenty more things will be taking place. They have paid for our services so the guests do not have to worry about buying the food- they just need to concentrate on having a good time

Machine Hire is a simple solution!!

As a catering company we understand that not everyone likes the intrusion of a stranger in their own homes or to attend any family function. This is why not only do we offer our services where our chef comes out but we also do the Machine hire option. Let me tell you a little bit more about this kind of option:

You simply ring or Email the office with the date you need a machine, either with or without the choice of meat.

This is so we know what date you need us to deliver the machine- the machine hire is as little as £250.00 from one day upto a week without the meat provided(you can source this from elsewhere).

Now if you want the Meat aswell, the price is then £450.00.

The price includes the delivery to wherever you want it dropping off, the Gas in which you need to cook with and the collection once finished. The machine must be cleaned otherwise there would be an extra cost incurred. If you are worried as to what to do , again our chef will put your mind at ease as will give you a demonstration in setting up and then your on your way. You get to produce lovely food and can use your own ingredients to infuse within the meat.

This option is popular for people wanting the more hands on approach and more privacy within their own homes- Be the star for the day!!!

Hog Roast on a wet and wild day!!

Well today is absolutely awful and I have an event booked up for later on, but has luck has it, it is inside a church community hall- they have booked us to attend a pensioners lunch and cook on site for them while they have a get together and drink plenty of tea and as a twist are having a Hog roast where the community will add their own Vegetables to the plates.

This event is a regular occurrence helping the elderly get out of their homes and stops them getting lonely if they have no family to care or visit them. Which I think is a marvellous day out.

Like any event we host it is always great to meet new people and cook for them and she the delight upon our customer’s faces. They have requested we take joints of meats as appose to a full Pig as there are only small numbers and doubt very much that the full Hog would get eaten. Its a Sunday roast on a Monday really- This I could eat everyday of the week(nothing quite beats the taste or fills one up). It will be quite steadily away today but with the same amount of effort and professionalism as any event we attend. We just hope all that are present enjoy the tastes a succulent Joint brings so the conversation flows and this then becomes a way of bringing people together. Have a good day to all!!!

Friday night hog roast

Hi everybody its Friday once again and here in the hog roast caterer office we have got that Friday feeling as we prepare for yet another busy weekend full of catering events and hog roast machine hire deliveries!

I’m off to do my first catering event this afternoon and I will be cooking for 150 people at a 21st birthday party.  The lucky birthday girl plus her friends and family will be tucking into a hog roast feast.

I am cooking up simple hog roast menu that’s consists of spit roasted hog, hot crunchy crackling, sweet apple sauce and savory stuffing along side fresh white, brown and granary bread rolls.  The perfect hog roast feast!

Along side the hog roast our waiting on staff will be serving champagne cocktails to get everybody in the party mood.  The party is fancy dress themed so we are looking forwarding to seeing some spectacular outfits.  The decor of the venue has a pink theme and the birthday girl requested everything to match so we have purchased some shocking pink napkins and paper plates to keep he customer happy.

After the hog roast has been enjoyed by all we will be providing some favorites from our dessert menu for the guests to enjoy.  Then we will clear up and remove all rubbish and leave the birthday girl and her guests to enjoy the rest of the night, Im sure they will continue into the early hours!  For me and the rest of the team it will be an early night as we have an early start on Saturday morning for another catering event.  have a great weekend everyone 🙂

Afternoon BBQ to reward hard workers at local college

Hello hog  blog lovers, its Thursday the 19th of May……..Almost weekend again!  I have to say this week has flown by very quickly, it doesn’t seem like two minutes since it was Monday morning.  Its gone by so fast because we have been so busy.  Today I have an event at the local college.  The health and social care department have an award in excellence so to celebrate and reward the hardworking staff and students the college are having a little afternoon party for that particular department.  We have been called upon to provide the food for the event and so we will be cooking up one of our tremendous bbq catering packages.  Everybody loves a good bbq especially on a nice sunny day like today so I’m sure it will go down a treat.

Today’s bbq catering job begins at 2pm this afternoon but we will be there early to set up and begin cooking.  We are feeding 250 people today and they will be munching on quality 100 per cent beef burgers, pork and apple sausages as well as some new recipe spicy sausages we have recently discovered.  There will also be qorn burgers for the non meat eaters and to complete this bb catering feast we will be providing fresh bread rolls, sauces, buttered corn on the cob and coleslaw.  Hmmmmm its making me hungry just thinking of it!

spit roasted lamb and BBQ menu

Good afternoon to all.

Today we have been very busy yet again in and out of the office. Our office staff have been dealing with all your enquiries and Emails for the coming months- in which alot of dates are becoming booked up for the catered services but our hire options are still available. As the summer is fast approaching, now sees the start of our busiest period with the phones never off the hook and our Office staff amending the Menu’s to suit your personal preference. We have a full weekend lined up with customer’s opting for our BBQ options which include Kebabs, sausages, and Burgers for the children with a selection of sauces( ketchup) ha ha!!!

The Customer has also requested a Lamb Spit rather than a hog roast for the adults which will be served alongside Potatoes and a selection of crisp seasoned salads. They have instructed us that the event will be in their garden and if the weather changes for the best then they will be having drinks and desserts added to their Menu. The children are in for a treat as they are having a bouncing castle set up- I will have to hold myself back from joining in!!!
