Winter Weddings

Winter Weddings

Good afternoon everybody and welcome to another exciting hog blog from the hog roast caterer team.  Its Tuesday the 18th of October 2011 and although we have only just entered the Autumn season it feels like winter has well and truly arrived!  As I look out of the window and see the dull grey sky and the rain pouring down it seems like Winter is well underway.

But never mind as it may be Winter but I still have many jobs booked in to keep me busy 🙂 This year I especially have lots of Winter wedding catering to look forward to.  Winter weddings were basically unheard of when I first began working in the catering industry many moon ago, but nowadays they are becoming more and more popular.   Why is this?  Well I can think of a few reasons;  Many people want to get married on the same day that they met and sometimes this falls on a day in the winter season, also people are becoming more and more interested in the romantic Christmas themed weddings and finally sometimes it easier to tie the knot out of the Summer season as there is more availability for you plus better value prices!

So if you are planning a winter wedding yourself why not check out the menus and packages that the hog roast caterer team have on offer?  After all we just love to cater for wedding events and with our great choices you are sure to find something just right for your big day.

Machine Hire

Good morning Hog Blog readers today I have decided to deliver a couple of our machines as we have no events booked in until tomorrow which means it is very quiet

The machines that I will be delivering will be out on hire for the weekend and the clients are wanting them to be collected on Monday morning with the hire option you can have the machine from 24 hours up to 7 days all for the same price of 250 pounds!!! .

We have  3 types of hires that we are offering at the moment. If you want just the machine without any meats or other equipment we can drop the clean machine off at the location of your event, then come back after your event and pick up the machine. We do charge a small amount if you would like to return the machine  back to us dirty so the choice is absolutely yours.
The second type of hire we are able to offer is either the professional or titan machines both of these machine can cook a different variety of meats if your looking to cook something a little bit different.
Our deluxe hire option includes the set up of a full event by our team including condiments, tableware, side dishes, serving table, chafing dishes with fuel, an optional pop up gazebo and other items along with one or more of our great machines plus meats of your choice. All you have to do is turn the machine on and your meat will be cooked to perfection.

A Thursday In The Life Of A Hog Roast Caterer

A Thursday in The Life Of A Hog Roast Caterer

Hello and welcome to another hog blog brought to you by the hog roast caterer team.  Its Thursday today and whilst I have no catering events to do today I am very busy preparing things for the weekend as myself and the other hog chefs have lots of events to cater for this weekend.

Thursday is always a good day to get things sorted out for the next hectic weekend.  Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday seem to be our busiest days in the office for enquiries coming through via email and telephone but by Thursday things in the office are a little quieter which gives us a chance to prepare for the weekends events.

Preparing for the events ahead can include all sorts of tasks.  Today I need to visit the local farmers market to pick up some last minute ingredients that I will need for an event tomorrow (apples for apple sauce and tomatoes for our Mediterranean salad)  then I need to do a full check of the staff Rota for Saturday and Sundays events and decide who will be doing what tasks at the events.  When these tasks are done I will be doing a final checklist to make sure we have the correct items for the first event (enough napkins, correct type of crockery, enough uniforms etc) then I will start to load up the Hog Roast Caterer van so I will ready to set off tomorrow and travel to my first event.

Business Event

Hello and welcome to the final Hog Blog of the week.

The team and I are making sure everything is in order for this weekends functions that will be taking place. I have managed to get the weekend off which is great news for me, but the catering team will be heading off in the morning to an event which is taking place about 20 minutes away from the office.

The snow that was promised for today is nowhere to be seen as usual the weather forecast was wrong but hopefully that will be the same story for the weekend as there will be 750 people at tomorrows Central Lancashire Business Event looking forward to an exciting day.

The sun is out and it is looking to be quite a nice day today in fact and we know that some of you will be enjoying a delicious hog roast this evening before the weather turns, as this month has got to have been one of the busiest months yet for hog roast machine hires!!!! and still the enquiries have been flooding into the office today for Saturday and this Sunday. We are able to deliver our machines with next day delivery so don’t hesitate today and contact us if you are wanting to enjoy he delights of a mouth watering Hog Roast .

Machine Delivery

Its Thursday the 6th of October and time for another Hog Blog 🙂

The weather seems to be getting worse it is raining heavily outside, but not to worry as we are not quite in winter yet and the sunshine may make an appearance sometime this month if we are lucky.

Today we have been busy taking machine hire bookings all week it seems that many clients are wanting to try a little bit of D.I.Y with our wonderful Hog Roast machines and wanting to cook the Hog themselves.

This is becoming more and more popular and clients are regularly hiring our machines more than once for events throughout the year for things such as birthdays Christenings family get togethers an our favorite summer garden parties.

Today the team and I  have decided to deliver a few of the Spit Roast Machines  ourselves, this afternoon I will be heading off to deliver a machines to one of our clients that previously hired the machine and someone to cook the pig we supplied in January and he also used our services the year before, he was amazed at how beautifully the meat cook and how prefect the end result of the Hog looked whilst still on the machine just the sight of our machines cooking the meat is mouth watering as it cooks to a golden brown colour with crispy cracking on top.

Hog Roasting Fun

Good Morning and welcome to another hog blog!!!!

Its Thursday which means the weekend is just around the corner. 🙂

Its been non stop for us and the catering team this week, several members of the team will be hitting the roads today and tomorrow driving out and about to deliver our fantastic machines to our hire customers.

Our customers are obviously taking advantage of the fine weather and planning their own out door parties and events for the lovely sunny evenings that we are enjoying at the moment.

This is great news for us as we have had a big increase in hog roast hire enquiries and bookings especially this week usually the end of the week is quieter but it seems the hotter weather is putting people in the mood for a hog roast.

We are hiring our machines out so customers can do their very own meat roasts.  This is a very enjoyable and cost effective way to enjoy the hog roast experience, we can even supply the pig for our customers to enjoy.
